Our Dining Recommendations

Lots of great options are available all around Hilton Head Island and Old Town Bluffton. Here are some of our favorite spots that we tend to frequent most during our visits! The list below are all local family friendly places.

Hilton Head Social Bakery Located near the Sea Pines Circle at 1018 William Hilton Pkwy. Great spot t to pickup breakfast pastries, scones, croissants, cakes and desserts! Limited breakfast and lunch menu.

The Salty Dog Café  Located within Sea Pines resort at South Beach Marina, the Salty Dog is legendary. Open 8a to 10p for breakfast, lunch and dinner This is a very causal and fun spot to sit outside by the water if its pleasant and catch some live music most late afternoons and evenings. Start with an order of hushpuppies and pimento cheese dip for the table! The she crab soup, burgers, and shrimp & grits are all very good! Stroll over to Jake’s for an ice cream and or pickup a fun t-shirt! (Inside and outside seating available. Reservations not accepted)

Fishcamp on Broad Creek Located at 11 Simmons Road, Hilton Head Island. Fishcamp is a local’s favorite with a great view and historic lowcountry vibe! Great pick for a family brunch or dinner out. Try the fried green tomatoes, Dafuskie Island blue crab cake, and their seafood entrees are all standouts. (Inside and outside seating available. Reservations are best for larger groups.)

Java Burrito Located just beyond entrance to Sea Pines at 1000 William Hilton Parkway (Bus 278). Its a locals “ Chipotle” with a great vibe! Java Burrito is home of the best margaritas, tacos, burritos and with farm-to-table fresh food and meats. Try the homemade crunchy taco shells if that’s your jam. Also an ideal option for takeout and bring back to the house. (Counter service with inside and outside seating available)

Skull Creek Boathouse Located at 397 Squire Pope Rd. Scenic location on Skull Creek with great views and sunsets. Fun and relaxed with outdoor bar and Adirondack chairs. There are multiple dining areas inside and out so ideal for families and larger groups. Fun general store. Expansive menu, something for everyone and excellent seafood choices. Try the “Salt & Vinegar” crab cakes. (Inside and outside seating available. Reservations not accepted)

CharBar Burgers & Sushi Conveniently located just outside Seas Pines front gate. Yep, they really do both great burgers and sushi! Its a casual, table service, something for everyone kind of place. They also take reservations and are suggested. (Inside and outside seating available)

Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks A short drive to the North side of Hilton Head Island, Hudson’s is an island institution that’s been around for over 50 years! Great views of the Port Royal Sound. Guests can dine inside the restaurant or outside by the dock bar. Fantastic local shrimp and seafood entrees. Maybe the best hushpuppies on the island. Go midweek or off hours as weekends are very crowded. (Inside and outside seating available. Reservations not accepted)

Giuseppi’s Pizza Nearby at the Sea Pines Center and delivery available. A go to spot for pizza, salad, pasta and hot/cold sub sandwiches. Dine-in not ideal for larger groups as seating is limited. During the high season and holiday weekends Giuseppi’s gets busy and we suggest calling in your order an hour before you want to eat. Dough Boys is located just outside Sea Pines on New Orleans Ave. Dough Boys deserves an honorable mention and best bet is to call in order for pickup.

Cahill’s Market Located near the shops and galleries in Historic Old Town Bluffton on May River Rd. The Cahill family farm and restaurant is southern home cooking at its best. Unbelievably delicious fresh farm to table produce, eggs and chicken. Working farm, country store and quaint restaurant. Go for breakfast, lunch or early dinner anytime Monday through Saturday or Sunday for Brunch.

The Bank Located just outside Sea Pines on Pope Ave in between the Sea Pines and Coligny Beach traffic circles. The 72,000 square-foot brewery, beer garden and restaurant complex includes indoor and outdoor seating, Side Hustle Brewing Company craft brews on tap, outdoor activities including a family zone and live entertainment, a merchandise shop, four new dining options: Mo’ Money Tacos, Bank Heist Burgers, All About the Benjamins Seafood, Dollar Billy’s Ice Cream & Treats food trucks in addition to Pizza Co. Within the beer garden, guests will be equally charmed among the vast tree canopies as they listen to live entertainment, play games, or simply enjoy the view. Grand opening June 2023, its fun but can get crowded - as do most of the restaurants in and around the Coligny Plaza during the high season.

For The Foodies: If you are seeking a more casually elegant dining experience and elevated cuisine here are a few suggestions:
Coast Conveniently located on the 2nd level of the Sea Pines Beach Club. Gorgeous ocean view, food and drink all around! Ideal for a nice family dinner without leaving Sea Pines.
Red Fish Located just outside Sea Pines at 8 Archer Ave. Food, wine list and service is all very good. Reservations taken so a good spot if you want to make plans to sneak out for a nice dinner and avoid waits and crowds.
FARM Located in Historic Old Town Bluffton at 1301 May River Rd. Locally inspired and sourced menu from small local farmers, fisherman, and artisan producers. Great for a relaxed date night or dinner out with friends. Reservations accepted.
Common Thread Located in the historic Thomas Square neighborhood in Savannah. Common Thread is actually a historic home. This restaurant is also owned and run by the team that runs FARM in Bluffton. Common Thread is a comfortably approachable low country culinary and dining experience! Best for a couple or small group if you decide to include a visit to Savannah. Dinner only - reservations required.
